Project Manager – Strategic Operations
5-Month Contract | Indianapolis, IN | 9/1 Start
We're partnering with a well-established organization seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a high-impact operational transition. This is an opportunity to take ownership of a complex, enterprise-wide initiative that requires strong leadership, organization, and cross-functional coordination. The engagement involves overseeing multiple business functions, managing key stakeholders, and ensuring a seamless migration within an aggressive timeline.
What You'll Do
- Lead a complex operational migration from project kickoff through final implementation.
- Develop and manage an integrated project plan across multiple business functions.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams while tracking milestones, risks, dependencies, and deliverables.
- Facilitate executive-level project meetings and provide clear status updates.
- Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and overall execution.
- Ensure a smooth project closeout, including documentation, lessons learned, and transition planning.
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of Project Management experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives.
- Proven success managing operational integrations, business transitions, or large-scale implementations.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and executive communication skills.
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Insurance or highly regulated industry experience is strongly preferred.
- PMP certification is a plus.
- Ability to work on-site in Indianapolis for the duration of the engagement.
- Experience in the insurance industry.
