About the Role:

Assistant Project Manager we're in search of:

Data Center Project Manager - must be open to being stationed at the job site for the lifecycle of the project build timeline, 24 months in Lebanon, Indiana as this is an on-site position at the project site.

Embark on a dynamic journey of growth and success as an Assistant Project Manager. This hands-on role provides a unique opportunity to delve into project controls, communications, and the technical intricacies of construction, allowing you to gain invaluable experience and lay the foundation for advancing your career in construction project management. You'll collaborate with the Project Manager and other stakeholders, playing a pivotal role in supporting and driving projects to completion. Your contributions will ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in adherence to the highest quality and safety standards.

Some of the things you will do as an Assistant Project Manager:

Project Planning and Coordination:

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of project schedules, ensuring alignment with project objectives and client expectations.
  • Coordinate with various teams, including design, engineering, and construction, to facilitate seamless project execution.

Document Management:

  • Manage and organize project documentation, including contracts, drawings, specifications, and correspondence.
  • Ensure that all project records are accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to relevant team members.

Budget Management:

  • Support the monitoring and control of project budgets, tracking expenses, and identifying potential cost-saving opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Quality Assurance and Safety Compliance:

  • Assist in implementing and maintaining quality assurance and safety programs on construction sites.
  • Collaborate with the safety team to ensure adherence to industry standards and company policies.

Communication:

  • Facilitate effective communication between project stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Prepare and distribute regular project status reports to keep stakeholders informed of progress and any potential issues.
  • Leverage project management software for meticulous control and maintenance of records, including contracts, tracking logs, meeting minutes, and submittals.

Problem Resolution:

  • Identify and address project issues promptly, working with the Project Manager to develop and implement solutions.
  • Collaborate with the construction team to ensure that project challenges are resolved efficiently.

Some of the things we're looking for in an Assistant Project Manager:

  • SWPPP Certification is a big plus!
  • Tech savviness with proficiency in project management software (Procore, MS Project) and office productivity software (Office 365 Suite).
  • Practical working knowledge of construction-related documentation and processes, (pre-planning, scheduling, RFPs/RFIs, change orders, tracking, reporting, closeout, etc.,).
  • An exceptional communicator.
  • Willingness to being stationed at the job site for the lifecycle of the project build timeline, 24 months in Lebanon, Indiana as this is an on-site position.

Skills and Abilities

Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering (or related field), or equivalent combination of technical training and related experience.

Experience: Advanced knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.

Sound experience with the application of physics and mathematics.

Computer Skills: Ability to use a PC, tablet, or laptop. Proficient in suite of Microsoft Office products; PowerPoint, Word, Sage PC, BIM 360, and Excel.

Certifications & Licenses: Because this position requires travel, the employee:

Must have a valid drivers' license.
Must be able to be insured on the company's insurance policy as a driver for the company.

Must already have or be able to complete requirements for OSHA 30 certification.

Other Requirements: Must be able to receive instruction and supervision. Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills. Regular, timely, predictable, and dependable attendance is required. High level of discernment and the ability to communicate the reason to support your decisions and know when/who to involve when changes and problems arise.
