Job description

Crusoe is on a mission to accelerate the abundance of energy and intelligence. As the only vertically integrated AI infrastructure company built from the ground up, we own and operate each layer of the stack โ€” from electrons to tokens โ€” to power the world's most ambitious AI workloads. When you join Crusoe, you join a team that is building the future, faster.

We're in the midst of the greatest industrial revolution of our time. The demand for AI compute is boundless, and power is a bottleneck. We're solving that โ€” with an energy-first approach that makes AI infrastructure better for the world and faster for the people innovating with AI.

We're looking for problem-solving, opportunity-finding teammates with a sense of urgency, who believe in the scale of our ambition and thrive on a path not fully paved โ€” people who want to grow their careers alongside a team of experts across energy, manufacturing, data center construction, and cloud services.

If you want to do the most meaningful work of your career, help our customers and partners advance their AI strategies, and be part of a high-performing team that believes in each other, come build with us at Crusoe.

About the Role:

Reporting to the VP of Talent, we are looking for a seasoned Executive Recruiter who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments and has a proven track record of attracting world-class executive talent across a variety of roles in technology companies. You will be instrumental in building our leadership team as we scale from an innovative pioneer to a market leader.

This is a pivotal opportunity to help shape the leadership team of Crusoe, which is still in a building phase.

Note: This position requires presence in our San Francisco office location 5 days per week.

What You'll Be Working On:
  • Lead Search Processes: Own end-to-end executive search processes for C-suite, VP, and Senior Director-level positions across all business functions.

  • Strategy Development: Develop and execute comprehensive search strategies for critical leadership roles including Engineering, Product, Sales, Marketing, DIG, Operations, and Finance.

  • Stakeholder Partnership: Partner closely with founders, board members, and existing executives to define role requirements and ideal candidate profiles.

  • Network Utilization: Leverage and expand extensive candidate networks within the cloud computing, data center, and AI industries.

  • Relationship Building: Proactively build trust and relationships with top-tier executive talent through industry events, conferences, and strategic networking.

  • Process Management: Manage sophisticated interview processes involving multiple senior stakeholders and rigorous assessment methodologies, and complicated schedules..

  • Candidate Experience: Ensure an exceptional, high-touch candidate experience that reflects Crusoe's values and competitive positioning.

  • Value Proposition: Craft and deliver compelling narrative value propositions for executive candidates considering high-growth infrastructure and startup opportunities.

What You'll Bring to the Team:
  • Experience: 10+ years of executive search experience, with at least 4 years focused specifically on technology companies.

  • Track Record: Proven history of successfully placing C-suite and VP-level executives at high-growth technology or infrastructure companies.

  • Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of tech markets such as data centers, GPUs, AI/ML, cloud infrastructure, or related hardware/software technologies.

  • Network: Extensive existing network of relationships with executive talent in relevant technology and infrastructure industries.

  • Startup Acumen: Experience working with venture-backed or private equity-backed startups and a strong understanding of high-growth startup dynamics.

Bonus Points
  • Previous experience at top-tier executive search firms (e.g., Daversa, Russell Reynolds, Korn Ferry, Heidrick & Struggles).
  • In-house executive recruiting experience at high-growth technology companies.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing, AI infrastructure, climate tech, or energy sectors.
  • Experience recruiting for companies scaling rapidly through growth phases (Series A through IPO).
  • Established relationships with technology executives, particularly in Silicon Valley and other major tech hubs.
  • A proven track record of recruiting diverse executive talent and building inclusive leadership teams.
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation and equity packages

  • Restricted Stock Units

  • Paid time off, paid holidays & leave of absence programs

  • Comprehensive health, dental & vision insurance

  • Employer contributions to HSA account

  • Paid parental leave

  • Paid life insurance, short-term and long-term disability

  • Professional development & tuition reimbursement

  • Mental health & wellness support

  • Commuter benefits (parking & transit)

  • Cell phone stipend

  • 401(k) Retirement plan with company match up to 4% of salary

  • Volunteer time off

  • Global travel insurance & emergency assistance

  • Daily meals allowance

  • Additional perks & programs specific to location

Compensation Range

Compensation will be paid in the range of up to $255,000 - $275,000 + Bonus. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicant's knowledge, education, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
