Executive Engineering Recruiter information

What does an executive engineering recruiter do?

An Executive Engineering Recruiter specializes in sourcing, evaluating, and hiring top engineering talent for senior-level or executive positions within organizations. They work closely with company leadership to understand specific technical and leadership requirements, develop recruitment strategies, and manage the end-to-end hiring process. This often involves networking, searching for passive candidates, conducting interviews, and negotiating offers to ensure the best fit for both the company and the candidate.

How does an executive engineering recruiter typically collaborate with hiring managers and technical teams during the recruitment process?

Executive Engineering Recruiters work closely with hiring managers and technical leaders to understand the specific skill sets, experience levels, and cultural fit required for senior engineering roles. They participate in regular meetings to align on job requirements, refine candidate profiles, and update on search progress. Recruiters also act as a bridge between candidates and the technical team, facilitating interviews, gathering feedback, and ensuring a smooth and transparent process for all parties involved. This collaboration is crucial to successfully identifying and securing top engineering talent for leadership positions.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an executive engineering recruiter, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Executive Engineering Recruiter, you need deep knowledge of engineering disciplines, talent acquisition strategies, and a proven track record in executive search, usually supported by a bachelor's degree in HR, engineering, or a related field. Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), recruitment platforms like LinkedIn Recruiter, and relevant certifications such as AIRS or SHRM-CP is highly valued. Exceptional relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills help you connect with top-tier engineering leaders and effectively manage client and candidate expectations. These competencies are critical for identifying and securing high-impact executive talent in competitive technical markets.

Job description

About Brain Co.

Brain Co. is building the infrastructure that turns advanced AI research into real-world impact. We work at the frontier of productionizing AI for complex, high‑stakes environments—particularly in government and regulated industries where manual workflows still dominate. Our mission is to make AI systems reliable, scalable, and dependable in the real world. That means going beyond demos and models to build robust platforms that support complex workflows, human‑in‑the‑loop processes, and production‑grade reliability at scale.

About The Role

We are looking for a Full Cycle Recruiter to own hiring across our business roles, which includes Account Executives, Business Development, HR, and beyond.

You will partner directly with both functional leaders and our growing recruiting team to define hiring priorities, pressure test profiles, and close high‑impact talent in competitive markets.

This is not a coordination role. You will run point on some of the most critical hires at the company and help shape how Brain Co. scales beyond engineering. Recruiting is treated as a strategic function here. You will be expected to bring judgment, data, and clear recommendations to the table.

You’ll Own
  • Full cycle recruiting for GTM/G&A roles from intake through close
  • Partnering with functional leaders/hiring managers to define success profiles and hiring plans
  • Driving search strategy for specialized roles across the business
  • Managing candidate experience with a high bar for clarity, speed, and conviction
  • Running offer strategy and closing in partnership with hiring managers
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to leaders on talent tradeoffs, timing, and market realities
You Might Thrive in This Role If You
  • Have 4+ years of full cycle recruiting experience, ideally across sales and/or business functions
  • Have hired individual contributors in fast growing companies
  • Can translate business needs into sharp candidate narratives and targeted outreach
  • Are data minded but not data blind, using metrics to inform judgment not replace it
  • Operate well in ambiguity and enjoy building structure where none exists
  • Care deeply about quality, not just speed
  • Believe applied AI will reshape how institutions operate
Benefits
  • Competitive salary
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision (100% Coverage)
  • Paid Maternity and Paternity Leave
  • 401(k)
  • Daily Lunches + Dinners
  • Commuter Benefits
  • Unlimited PTO
