Job description

Executive Assistant / Emergency Management

Location: Cary, NC 27513 (Hybrid 2 days a week in office - Tuesday & Wednesday)

Duration: 5 months (possible extension)

Shift: 7am-4pm M-F

Responsibilities:

  • The Emergency/Business Continuity Management Business Professional will be responsible for global incident management oversight on a daily basis. The roles will include ISAC (Information Sharing and Analysis) and performing key functions in response to incidents such as; major storms, earthquakes, civil unrest, any incident that may pose high risk to Company. Additionally, this position will support a major business continuity project.
  • As an Emergency/Business Continuity Management Business Professional, your daily role is to ensure effective monitoring, analyzing and disseminating situational information and intelligence regarding actual impacts or potential threats to Company operations and assets. Your role includes significant support to a major business continuity project
  • Maintain documented procedures such as the Global Incident Monitoring and Notification process.
  • Develop and maintain proficiency in all tools, systems and software utilized, as well as all documented policies, processes and procedures.
  • Support documented procedures engaging and working with points of contact to review the significant event, create slides decks and serve as scribe for calls/meetings.
  • Assist with the coordination of operations with duties such as; scheduling and assignment of team members preparing status reports, setting up all tools and resources, and coordinating/scribing for conference calls.
  • Support the development and implementation of drills and exercises.

Must Have Skills

  • Associates degree or two or more years of work experience
  • Internship(s) or a year of relevant work experience.
  • Experience working across functional areas, team-oriented
  • Create corporate emails, scribing
  • Significant experience with creating PowerPoint (GSuite Slides) presentations
  • Ability to create high-level, brand-appropriate decks for viewing by senior executives

Desired Skills

  • A 4-year university degree
  • Significant experience with mapping and/or data analysis tools (ESRI, Visual Command Center, Google Maps, KML/KMZ files etc).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with competency to present to an executive level.
  • Ability to productively perform in a high stress environment.
  • Competent in the use of G-Suite.
  • Emergency Management Certifications and/or previous emergency management experience.
  • Previous experience in a threat monitoring center.
  • Interest in or courses completed in meteorology
  • Knowledge of the National Incident Management System and Incident Command System. Completion of FEMA ICS training courses.
