The Coordinator, Corporate Security, plays a vital role in supporting emergency management processes and ensuring the safety of associates and visitors. This position involves managing visitor access, assisting with emergency evacuations, and maintaining security protocols. The role requires effective communication, coordination of resources, and adherence to company policies and ethical standards. The Coordinator contributes to a secure and welcoming environment by collaborating with various stakeholders, managing logistical support, and promoting continuous improvement in security operations to uphold Walmart’s commitment to safety and integrity.
About the team:
The Physical Security team at Walmart ensures a secure environment by managing threats and responding swiftly to emergencies. They develop and maintain security protocols aligned with corporate standards and collaborate with internal and external partners for effective incident management. Focused on compliance with safety regulations, the team protects associates, visitors, and assets through comprehensive security operations and emergency preparedness. Committed to continuous improvement, they address evolving security challenges with professionalism, delivering coordinated physical security, crisis management, and threat response to maintain a safe and efficient workplace.
  What you'll do:
  • Support and implement emergency response processes, including managing uninvited guests, catastrophic events, and evacuations by assessing situations and prioritizing actions.
  • Greet and assist associates and visitors, directing them appropriately and coordinating with vendors and contractors for arrivals and deliveries.
  • Manage visitor check-in and check-out, verifying identification, approval, and compliance with company policies.
  • Provide office support by handling calls, maintaining contact lists, and scheduling equipment and meeting rooms to ensure operational readiness.
  • Collaborate with team members and business partners to complete assignments, communicate progress, and identify improvement opportunities.

What you'll bring:
  • Proven experience in corporate security and emergency management protocols.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with associates, visitors, and external partners.
  • Ability to assess and prioritize emergency situations, facilitating appropriate escalation or de-escalation.
  • Experience managing visitor access and security procedures, including verification and compliance.
  • Proficiency in supporting office operations, scheduling, and maintaining security of assets.
  • Commitment to upholding company policies, ethical standards, and fostering a respectful workplace environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with teams and adapt to changing priorities.

The hourly wage range for this position is $16.00 - $28.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
