Job Title:TemporaryExecutive Housekeeper (Full-Time)
Location:Manhattan, New York ASAP until August

Hours:Monday-Friday 8am-4pm
Start Date:Late June 2026
Salary:$36.00- $43.00 per hour depending on experienceand knowledgeof skills required


Position Overview
A private family is seeking a highly skilled Executive Housekeeper to support the daily upkeep and organization of their home. This position is ideal for a polished, detail-oriented professional with experience in high-end homes who takes pride in maintaining exceptional standards. The successful candidate will be hands-on, proactive, and capable of managing both daily housekeeping tasks and the long-term care and organization of the home.


Key Responsibilities

Housekeeping & Home Care

  • Perform detailed daily cleaning to maintain a high standard throughout the home
  • Care for fine furnishings, surfaces, and high-end finishes
  • Maintain overall organization and cleanliness across all living spaces

Laundry & Garment Care (Primary Focus)

  • Expert-level laundry care, including washing, folding, and organizing clothing and linens
  • Ironing and steaming to a high standard-including sheets
  • Hand-washing delicate garments and managing hang-dry processes
  • Knowledge of fabric care and proper treatment of luxury garments

Wardrobe & Travel Support

  • Pack and unpack for family travel with attention to detail and organization
  • Maintain wardrobe organization and suggest improvements to systems as needed

Household Organization

  • Keep the home consistently organized and functional
  • Proactively suggest improvements to storage, layout, and efficiency
  • Assist with seasonal organization and household resets

Specialty Care

  • Polish silver and properly care for fine china and specialty items
  • Ensure proper storage and maintenance of delicate household goods

Household Oversight & Communication

  • Monitor the home for maintenance needs (e.g., light bulbs, minor repairs)
  • Communicate clearly with the family regarding issues requiring attention (e.g., plumbing, repairs, replacements)
  • Assist with coordinating service calls as needed

Requirements

  • Significant experience working in high-end private homes
  • Exceptional laundry and garment care skills (this is a core requirement)
  • Knowledge of luxury home care, including silver polishing and china care
  • Strong organizational skills with a proactive mindset
  • Ability to speak, read and understand English fluently
  • Valid drivers license and comfort with driving when needed
  • Physically capable of carrying laundry, luggage, and household equipment (e.g., vacuum) up and down stairs in a three-story home
