Job description

Catering Buffet Attendants are needed only for events. Our events calendar is published 3 months in advance so you can see which events fit your schedule. Most events are during the evenings. Weekly hours cannot be guaranteed yet you will have the flexibility to work around your schedule.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor and replenish buffet items to ensure a continuous and attractive presentation of food.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the buffet area, including utensils, plates, and serving dishes.
  • Assist guests by providing information about food options and accommodating dietary restrictions.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in food handling and service.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to communicate inventory needs and special requests.
  • Support overall dining operations by assisting with setup and breakdown of the buffet, and assist with ding table bussing.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Able to display and live out our Lead with Love principles strongly rooted in the company culture by being: patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, and dedicated.
  • Previous experience in a food service or hospitality role preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and organization.
  • Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with food service equipment and buffet setups.
  • Basic understanding of inventory management practices.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
  • Positive attitude and a willingness to assist guests and colleagues.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and maintain a flexible approach to work.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Successful completion of post-offer background check
  • Ability to remain on feet for long periods of time, climb stairs, bend and stoop
  • Physical strength, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Reliable transportation as public bus service is not typically available at the conclusion of most evening events
