Position Overview
We are seeking a seasoned capital markets executive to lead institutional fundraising, project finance structuring, and long-term capital strategy across a growing portfolio of energy and infrastructure assets.
The Vice President, Capital Markets & Project Finance will be responsible for structuring and raising institutional capital across debt, equity, tax credit financing, and infrastructure-backed investment vehicles. This executive will serve as a strategic financial leader, aligning capital formation with project execution, asset monetization, and long-term portfolio optimization.
This is a high-impact leadership role suited for professionals with deep experience in renewable energy, infrastructure finance, structured debt, and institutional capital markets.
Key Responsibilities
Capital Strategy & Structuring
  • Lead capital markets strategy across equity, structured debt, tax equity, and project-level financing vehicles
  • Structure and negotiate credit facilities, non-recourse loans, infrastructure-backed securities, and hybrid capital solutions
  • Develop innovative capital stack strategies for renewable energy and infrastructure projects
Institutional Capital Raising
  • Source and manage relationships with institutional investors, banks, private lenders, infrastructure funds, sovereign funds, and DFIs
  • Lead debt and equity placement efforts, including tax credit monetization and structured finance transactions
  • Oversee preparation of offering memorandums, investor decks, financial models, and data rooms
Execution & Portfolio Alignment
  • Align funding timelines with development, construction, and scaling milestones
  • Partner with internal development, legal, and executive teams to ensure capital readiness
  • Support M&A transactions, asset monetization, refinancing strategies, and co-investment structures
Market Intelligence & Optimization
  • Analyze capital markets conditions, interest rate trends, and investor appetite
  • Optimize portfolio leverage and cost of capital strategies
  • Identify opportunities for green bonds, climate finance instruments, and infrastructure-backed securities
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field (MBA, CFA, or CPA strongly preferred)
  • 8-12+ years of experience in capital markets, project finance, structured finance, or investment banking
  • Demonstrated track record of raising and structuring institutional capital for energy, infrastructure, or industrial assets
  • Deep expertise in financial modeling, credit analysis, and securities structuring
  • Experience managing cross-border capital flows, tax equity structures, and public-private financing tools
Preferred Experience
  • Renewable energy tax credit financing (ITC/PTC), tax equity partnerships
  • Green bonds, climate finance, or ESG-linked capital markets
  • Familiarity with federal and state funding programs (DOE, DFC, C-PACE, infrastructure grants)
  • Experience working with multilaterals, sovereign wealth funds, infrastructure banks, or DFIs
  • Advanced Excel and capital structuring tools (VBA, project finance modeling platforms, debt structuring systems)
