Education
A bachelor's or associate degree from an accredited college or university is required.
* In lieu of a bachelor's or associate degree, eight (8) years of demonstrated experience and skills in providing Executive Level 6 support to Senior Executives in the Government, Military (DoD Flag / General Officers), or Private Sector, to include but not limited to scheduling and travel, may be substituted.
Required Experience

  • A minimum of six (6) years of demonstrated experience and skills in providing Executive Level support to Senior Executives in the Federal Government, Military (DoD Flag / General Officers), or Private Sector, to include but not limited to scheduling and travel.
  • Demonstrated experience providing timely and high-quality support to Executive-level Principals in a complex and fast-paced environment requiring a high-degree of critical thinking, initiative, problem solving, and professional judgment across an organizational setting (i.e., not siloed to one or two specific tasks).
  • Demonstrate proficiency and experience with Defense Travel System (DTS).
  • Demonstrate high proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite to include Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

SANCORP is seeking an Executive Assistant to assist Office Management and Executive Support Services (OM&ESS) in supporting the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy (OUSD(P)), focused on delivering high-quality administrative support across strategy, international engagement, and interagency coordination. The following are examples of responsibilities:
  • Scheduling. (Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense and above, or their equivalent). Arrange meetings; manage and deconflict calendars; collect and assemble daybooks; serve as the point of contact for scheduling questions and requests; attend office calendar synchronization meetings; draft and disseminate Principal Absence memos; and develop SOPs and maintain continuity books.
  • Travel. (Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense and above, or their equivalent). Coordinate transportation for meetings in the NCR; prepare travel authorizations and vouchers with the Defense Travel System (DTS); assist with obtaining passports and visas for official travel; facilitate compliance with the Foreign Clearance Guide; prepare Aircraft and Personnel Automated Clearance System (APACS) requests; and prepare visit requests (Principals only).
