Job Opportunity With Posterity Group LLC

An excellent opportunity exists to work for a government contractor with competitive compensation and work-life balance. Posterity Group LLC is a veteran owned, service-disabled small business, headquartered in Rockville, MD, that specializes in federal government contracting and staffing. We are tasked with staffing the South Broward Hospital District with Board Certified Perfusionists.

Locations: Hollywood FL, Memorial Regional Hospital South (MRHS) and Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital (JDCH)

Broward County is a bustling part of South Florida. Fort Lauderdale anchors the county with its beaches and canals. It's sandwiched between Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties. The Everglades cover the western part of Broward. Tourists come here for sun, sand, and shopping. Port Everglades is one of the busiest cruise ports around. The county has a diverse population and great food scene with a mixture of urban energy and suburban calm. It has a strong job market and affordable living that include quality of life activities, parks, restaurants, and nightlife.

  • All Perfusionists shall assist the Cardio-Thoracic service with by-pass surgical cases and valve replacement of various types.
  • The Perfusionists are responsible for preparation, and operation of the heart and lung machines/pumps in conjunction with maintaining a sterile environment for procedures maintaining blood volume in the patients preventing shock or air embolus.
  • Assemble supplies and equipment in preparation to accept patient on extra corporeal circulation in cases of premature cardiac arrest or failure.
  • Other services include preparation, maintenance and operation of Hospital owned equipment to include the heart lung machine, auto transfusion pump, intra-aortic balloon pump and centrifugal ventricular assist device.

Requirements

  • Must be able to cover perfusion services in both CVOR and ECMO with ECMO specialists
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with both Pediatric and Adult care
  • Experience shall be demonstrated in the following areas: Open heart surgery, autotransfusion, heart lung machine, membrane oxygenation, left/right heart bypass, intra-aortic balloon pumping and centrifugal ventricular assist device.
  • Valid BLS
  • All Perfusionists shall be a graduate of an accredited Allied Health Education Program School of Perfusion Technology
  • Shall be certified by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion
