Job description

Excel RAD Developer – Equity Derivatives (Contract)

Location: Midtown NYC (3 days onsite)

Duration: 6 months

Comp: $55–$95/hr (W2)

We’re working with a legacy investment banking platform that is looking to bring on an Excel RAD Developer to help build out and modernize their equity derivatives pricing systems. This role will be closely aligned with the trading desk, focused on improving pricing tools and creating a more seamless workflow for front-office users.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and enhance Excel-based pricing and trading tools
  • Work directly with traders and quants to improve workflows and usability
  • Develop and support pricing models for equity derivatives
  • Integrate Excel with quant libraries, APIs, and internal systems
  • Help modernize existing tools into more scalable solutions
  • Ensure accuracy and performance of pricing and analytics tools

Requirements:

  • Strong experience building Excel tools in a front-office or trading environment
  • Background supporting quants or trading desks
  • Solid understanding of derivatives (equities preferred, but open to other asset classes)
  • Experience connecting Excel to APIs and data sources
  • Familiarity with quant libraries and pricing models

Nice to have:

  • Bloomberg Terminal or similar market data experience
  • Experience working with real-time data feeds
  • Exposure to C++ and/or C#

Additional info:

  • 3 days onsite in Midtown
  • 6-month contract with potential to extend
