Position Summary
Join the dynamic and hard-working team in Learning Support Services' (LSS) Test Centers. The Exam Proctoring Assistant will have the opportunity to support students who are taking exams outside of class due to disability-related reasons or to make up an exam because of a university-approved absence. The Exam Proctoring Assistant will be responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and organizing exams, as well as communicating with students, faculty, and staff. We are looking for someone who wants to be a dedicated member of our team and is interested in learning interpersonal, technical, and organizational skills they can take with them after graduation.
Job Functions
  • Scheduling, printing, scanning, administering, monitoring, and proctoring exams.
    • Demonstrate an understanding of testing requirements, perform quality and security checks of all exams prior to examination time, and oversee a secure exam environment and return of exams.
    • The Exam Proctoring Assistant will be expected to work during midterms and finals.
  • Utilize our secure data management system to schedule exams.
  • Compile and maintain confidential files of disability information and delivered and completed tests.
  • Email, phone, and in person communication with students and faculty about scheduling and delivering exams, as well as troubleshooting technology concerns and managing student, faculty, or staff questions.
  • Assist in providing testing accommodations such as reading, scribing, and assistive technology when needed.
  • Provide full coverage when the Exam Proctoring Coordinator is not in the office.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Must be enrolled in a Villanova University graduate program.
Additional Information:
Hourly position with $1000 scholarship for each completed semester of work. In order to receive the scholarship, you must work a minimum of 15 hours/week through final exams.
