Exam Proctoring information
How do you become an eligible proctor?
What is the difference between Exam Proctoring vs Test Center Staff?
| Aspect | Exam Proctoring | Test Center Staff |
|---|---|---|
| Credentials | Minimal; often requires training or certification | Usually requires certification or training in test administration |
| Work Environment | Online or in-person exam settings, often remotely | Physical test centers, overseeing in-person exams |
| Employer & Industry | Educational institutions, certification bodies, online testing companies | Testing centers, educational institutions, certification agencies |
| Primary Role | Monitor exams, ensure integrity, prevent cheating | Assist test-takers, manage test logistics, verify identities |
Exam proctors primarily monitor exams to maintain integrity, often working remotely or in testing environments. Test center staff handle in-person test administration, focusing on logistics and candidate support. While both roles ensure exam security, proctors often work in a broader range of settings, including online exams, whereas test center staff are based in physical locations.
