ABOUT THE POSITION

The National Account Manager (NAM) will be responsible for achieving sales growth and penetration of company products within specifically assigned departments with The Home Depot. This role requires a wide range of skills including presentation of our expansive product assortments, building long-term, effective business relationships, execution of strategic planning and managing cross-functional responsibilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead the strategy, growth, and execution of all GreatStar product programs within your assigned Home Depot departments.
  • Drive expansion of private‑label and owned‑brand tool programs, partnering closely with Home Depot’s Merchandising, Product Development, Operations and Replenishment teams.
  • Collaborate with internal and external cross-functional partners to manage all aspects of the business including channel strategy, product line reviews, promotional planning, product differentiation, data analytics, and profitability analysis.
  • Develop multi‑year strategic business plans that increase sales, profitability, and category penetration.
  • Collaborate with internal Product, Marketing, Finance, Demand Planning, Operations, and Sourcing teams to deliver retailer‑ready programs and category solutions.
  • Use POS data, market insights, and shopper analytics to identify opportunities and develop fact‑based recommendations.
  • Track and manage modular/planogram changes and execute flawless item onboarding, transitions, and resets.
  • Present compelling program proposals, product demonstrations, and private label innovation opportunities.
  • Partner with Demand Planning to deliver accurate forecasts and ensure high service levels.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets, profitability goals, and account growth objectives.
  • Create and present materials, including demonstration of product samples, that communicate our ideas and recommendations in a clear and decisive manner
  • Understand and communicate trends or opportunities that yield positive comp opportunities at retail
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s Degree or commensurate education/degree experience
  • 5+ years sales and/or trade experience, preferably associated with The Home Depot.
  • Excellent problem solving, negotiation, and closing skills
  • High initiative, strong follow-through with an analytical mindset
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and exceptional drive for results
  • Ability to lead cross functional teams and manage complex projects in a fast paced environment.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills. Highly collaborative team player.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point)
