About the Opportunity

Our client is an innovative and rapidly growing B2B SaaS technology company seeking an experienced Events Marketing Lead to build and scale a world-class events marketing program. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of the company's entire events strategy, leading initiatives that drive demand generation, strengthen brand awareness, and create meaningful customer engagement.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys collaborating cross-functionally with Sales and Customer Success, and is passionate about using events to generate measurable business results.

Position Overview

The Events Marketing Lead will own the vision, planning, execution, and performance of the company's events program, including industry conferences, webinars, podcasts, executive roundtables, customer workshops, client visits, and corporate events.

This is a leadership position with direct management responsibility for an Events Marketing team member. Success in this role will be measured by the ability to generate high-quality marketing-qualified leads (MQLs), increase conversion into sales-qualified opportunities (SQLs), and deliver strong pipeline growth through strategic event marketing.

Key Responsibilities

Event Strategy & Demand Generation

  • Develop and execute the annual events marketing strategy aligned with revenue, pipeline, and brand objectives.
  • Own the annual event calendar across conferences, webinars, customer events, workshops, podcasts, and executive experiences.
  • Establish KPIs and measure success through pipeline generation, MQLs, SQL conversion, and ROI.
  • Manage the events budget and optimize investments for maximum business impact.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop an Events Marketing Coordinator/Specialist.
  • Prioritize projects, delegate responsibilities, and ensure flawless execution across all events.
  • Build scalable processes that support future growth.

Process Improvement

  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for planning, execution, lead management, and post-event follow-up.
  • Continuously improve workflows to increase efficiency and consistency across the events program.

Sales & Customer Success Partnership

  • Partner closely with Sales to ensure event-generated leads are properly routed, nurtured, and converted into qualified pipeline.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success to execute customer-focused events that support retention, expansion, and advocacy.
  • Participate in pipeline planning and revenue discussions as the events marketing expert.

Global Collaboration

  • Coordinate with international marketing teams, particularly EMEA, to align event calendars, messaging, and campaign objectives.
  • Adapt global event strategies for regional audiences while maintaining brand consistency.

Brand & Partnership Marketing

  • Manage industry award submissions that elevate brand visibility and credibility.
  • Support strategic partnerships through co-marketing initiatives, joint webinars, and partner events.

Event Execution

  • Oversee every aspect of event execution, including logistics, vendor management, speaker coordination, production quality, and attendee experience.
  • Ensure all events are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with brand standards.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Track event performance and pipeline contribution using CRM and marketing automation platforms.
  • Present insights and recommendations to marketing and executive leadership.
  • Maintain event playbooks, templates, and best practices for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • 3โ€“6+ years of experience in events marketing.
  • 1โ€“2+ years of leadership or people management experience preferred.
  • Experience in B2B SaaS marketing strongly preferred.
  • Retail Media, Advertising Technology, MarTech, or eCommerce experience is highly desirable.
  • Proven success owning pipeline metrics, including MQL generation and MQL-to-SQL conversion.
  • Experience building scalable marketing processes and SOPs.
  • Strong partnership experience working with Sales and Customer Success teams.
  • Experience coordinating with regional or international marketing teams.
  • Background managing award submissions and partnership marketing initiatives is a plus.
  • Experience with marketing automation and CRM platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or Pardot.
  • Strong budgeting, vendor management, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with executive-level professionalism.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field preferred.
