Job Summary: USI is seeking high level security officers for a college campus. Job duties may include performing security patrols of designated areas by foot, observing for any conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards, maintaining access control of premises and monitoring entrances and exits, verbal de-escalation. Security Officers provide high level of customer service and assistance to clients, client employees and visitors in a polite and professional manner.
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Security experience a plus!
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Speak clearly and concisely
  • Ability to keep a neat and organized workstation
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to conduct foot patrols frequently

Responsibilities include:
  • Patrol buildings and grounds to ensure campus is secure and safe.
  • Identify leaks and spills, inspect doors and locks on site to prevent potential hazards.
  • Interact with visitors in a courteous and professional manner, providing assistance and directions when needed.
  • Provide a high level of customer service to client and all client employees, visitors and patients.
  • Knowledgeable of and adhere to all rules and regulations, policies, and orders.
  • Maintain order and enforce college campus rules and regulations to uphold a safe and respectful environment for all individuals on the premises.
  • Perform daily activity reports and incident reports when necessary.
  • Projects a positive image in dress and decorum.
