The Role:
As a Banquet Houseperson, you are the behind-the-scenes backbone of our events team. You'll be responsible for the setup, breakdown, and overall readiness of event spaces, ensuring each function looks flawless and runs smoothly. This hands-on role involves moving furniture and equipment, assisting with event logistics, and supporting the service team before, during, and after events.
What we will ask of you:
  • Set up banquet spaces according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), including tables, chairs, linens, and equipment.
  • Assist with staging, décor placement, and ensuring the event space is polished and guest-ready.
  • Perform light cleaning and maintenance tasks to keep event spaces pristine.
  • Ensure storage and service areas are organized and stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Support banquet servers during events by replenishing supplies, clearing items, and resetting as needed.
  • Break down banquet setups post-event in an organized and efficient manner.
  • Reset rooms for future events as directed by the Banquet Captain or Events Manager.
  • Assist in handling rental equipment, deliveries, or vendor items.
  • Work closely with the Banquet Captain, servers, and event team to ensure smooth operations.
  • Adhere to all safety, sanitation, and property standards.
  • Communicate any issues, damages, or concerns to management promptly.

Requirements for Success:
  • Have a positive energy, be ready to assist fellow support staff and work as a team player
  • Be 18 years of age or older and at least one year of prior restaurant, events, hospitality or relevant experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively with managers, employees, and all guests
  • A flexible schedule to work days, nights, weekends and holidays
  • Constant standing/walking with occasional stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, or lifting
  • Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs.
