Job description

Overview

WS Development is looking for a Fall intern to work on the Hyde Park Village Field Team. The Intern will work closely with the General Manager (GM) and Marketing Manager. The intern will learn about the world of mixed-use real estate development, with a focus on event management/marketing during their internship.

Timing

  • October-January; 15-20 hours a week.ย  Some weekends required
  • Position requires intern to work in the office at 1646 W Snow Ave, Tampa during work hours; no remote opportunities available.

The Position

  • Assists in creating, planning & orchestrating multiple community and retail events per often collaborating with key community partners and non-profit organizations
  • Helps maintain website presence, email program, and social channels with focus on Instagram
  • Assists in informing retail partners of marketing activities and supports requests for on-site programming/activation
  • Displays passion and enthusiasm for community outreach, retail, communication, and event production. Actively seeks prospective opportunities for collaboration among the Hyde Park Village community
  • Assists in administrative tasks, including, but not limited to marketing research, collecting event attendance, drafting meeting agendas, and creating/distributing marketing materials

Requirements

  • Student studying Marketing/Business Administration or similar field, with interest in retail, event planning + management, marketing, and social media
  • Strong oral, written, organizational, interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media channels (Instagram, Facebook)
  • Proficiency in marketing-based tools is a plus (i.e. Iconosquare, Canva, Wordpress, Klaviyo) but not required
