Event Manager Designate (EMD)
EMD offers adaptable leadership across multiple warehouses in assigned metro areas by shifting between two key roles based on operational needs. When assigned to a specific warehouse, EMD assumes full Event Manager responsibilities and manages all warehouse operations. When not assigned to a location, EMD provides operational support, quality assurance, training, development, recruiting, and strategic support throughout the market.

The Company services a variety of trade channels including grocery, mass merchandise, specialty, convenience, drug, dollar, club, hardware, consumer electronics, and home centers. We bridge the gap between manufacturers and retailers, providing consumers access to the best products available in the marketplace today.
Responsibilities
  • Lead onsite execution of events, product demonstrations, and promotional activities in alignment with company standards when covering for the Event Manager
  • Support revenue and operational goals by ensuring event accuracy, product readiness, and effective member engagement
  • Provide day to day direction to demonstration staff, including task assignments, coaching, and reinforcement of operational expectations while partnering with leadership on performance management actions requiring documentation or discipline
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with warehouse leadership to ensure seamless execution and operational alignment
  • Monitor event performance including execution rates, sales results, labor usage, and operational issues, and escalate concerns while partnering with leadership on adjustments
  • Ensure compliance with food safety requirements, demonstration standards, and operating procedures
  • Demonstrate adaptability to shifting priorities, unexpected challenges, and coverage needs across multiple warehouse locations
  • Partner with district leadership, sales, and operations teams to support cross functional communication and continuity during coverage periods

Qualifications
  • Education Requirements: Associate degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience Requirements: 4-6 years experience in relevant field (Retail or customer facing experience preferred)
  • Travel requirement: Some travel expected

Supervisor Responsibility
  • Direct Reports: Hires, retains, trains, coaches, guides, directs, and develops direct reports using company-wide processes, tools and resources
  • Indirect Reports: May delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reports

Environmental & Physical Requirements
Field Requirements: Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. The position typically requires the ability to spend 66%+ hours each workday performing the following activities: Engage in considerable physical activity, ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds, stand on feet for long periods of time, use consumer goods products, prepare, and serve food and beverages safely as appropriate for the product demonstration.
