Candidates must be based in Seattle to be considered for this role. This role is able to work from home but candidates must also be able to attend client meetings, events, site inspections, etc. in person.

Summary
This is a sales-focused role that also handles proposal development and event production functions for a select segment of the business meeting specific criteria. While this is an independent and self-reliant role, this person will be working in collaboration with our clients, suppliers, and as needed, internal PRA teams to develop and deliver events that exceed our clients' expectations. This person is responsible for increasing overall sales volume by developing key relationships with new accounts and growing existing assigned accounts, while attaining PRA's profitability objectives.
Primary Responsibilities
Sales Functions
  • Manages programs often $1 million+ in revenue
  • Handles all aspects of client account management and communication
  • Salesforce entry and maintenance including revenue, gross profit, and probability updates
  • Facilitate client discovery and lead qualifying calls
  • Generate and maintain Proposal Request Form
  • Update hoteliers and clients on a regular basis on new venues, services and destinations
  • Participate in industry related organizations and local community to develop business and attain leadership status when possible

Proposal Development Functions:
  • Develop and execute dynamic visual proposals to prospective clients, following PRA's standard process while utilizing existing destination assets and reviewing all revisions until completion
  • Responsible for the development of quote details, costing, and pricing in alignment with program development vision, sales and creative strategies, and client specifications
  • Supplier outreach for availability, pricing, etc.
  • Maintain program Financials, including costing, client invoicing, etc.
  • Research, develop and maintain business relationships with supplier partners and vendors
  • Work with Experience Design team, as needed, for further proposal development

Operations Function:
  • Schedule planning visit as required
  • All aspects of supplier/venue management including negotiations and contracting
  • Develop on-site Staffing Plan
  • Create Program Production Packet and distribute to staff as required
  • Manage all aspects of Supplier Invoicing including generation and system input for processing
  • Organize, schedule and attend Pre-Convention Meetings
  • Manage all aspects of onsite execution, including hotel communication
  • Submit any outstanding supplier invoices for processing

Qualifications
  • 4 or more years of experience in sales, specifically in a DMC, incentive travel, event management, or related field highly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality & Tourism, Business Management, Marketing, Communication, or related degree preferred
  • Knowledge of client development including new business development, lead follow up, qualifying the client, proposal presentation and closing business
  • Ability to analyze and interpret client proposal requirements, contracts, financial reports, and other legal documents
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, supplier partners, and hoteliers
  • Ability to multitask and work on multiple programs with different deadlines
  • Ability to work well with all levels of management and staff, hoteliers and venue staff, clients and supplier/partner
  • Working knowledge of attractions, hotels, parks, venues and supplier/partners in the local area and ability to locate and vet new venues and supplier/partners
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings and holidays
  • Ability to travel 10-20% of the month (mostly local)

Salary: $70,000-$80,000 plus commissions
