Property Resident Activities Coordinator
Location: Elkhorn, NE 55+ Residential Community
Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Overview
The Activities Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, promoting, and leading engaging life enrichment activities for residents within a 55+ community. This role plays an important part in creating a welcoming, active, and enjoyable community environment where residents feel connected, valued, and proud of where they live.
The ideal candidate is energetic, creative, compassionate, and highly organized, with a passion for working with older adults. This position requires someone who can build strong relationships with residents, understand their interests, and develop meaningful activities that support social, emotional, spiritual, physical, mental, and overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, schedule, coordinate, and lead a variety of resident activities, events, and programs.
  • Develop monthly activity calendars that offer a balanced mix of social, recreational, educational, spiritual, financial, wellness, and life enrichment opportunities.
  • Encourage resident participation and create an inclusive environment where all residents feel welcome.
  • Host and facilitate community events such as games, holiday celebrations, wellness programs, educational workshops, resident socials, outings, and special events.
  • Work with residents to identify interests, preferences, and new activity ideas.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors, speakers, volunteers, local organizations, and service providers for resident programs and events.
  • Promote activities through flyers, newsletters, calendars, announcements, and other communication channels.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment during all resident activities.
  • Support resident engagement by building positive relationships and encouraging community involvement.
  • Assist with setup, cleanup, supplies, and logistics for all scheduled events.
  • Track participation and provide feedback to management regarding activity success and resident interests.
  • Maintain an activity budget, purchase supplies as approved, and ensure resources are used responsibly.
  • Support the overall resident experience by helping create a positive, engaging, and community-focused atmosphere.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in activities coordination, senior living, property management, hospitality, recreation, customer service, or event planning preferred.
  • Experience working with older adults or 55+ communities is a plus.
  • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to plan and lead group activities with enthusiasm and professionalism.
