Job Description: Nonprofit Warehouse Manager

Position Title: Warehouse and Logistics Manager

Location: Arvada, CO

Reports to: President

Position Type: Part-Time (Job Share)

Salary: $29.00 โ€“ $31.00 per hour, commensurate with experience, and health insurance stipend

Overview: This is a part-time, job-share, in-person position based at our office and warehouse in Arvada, CO.

Schedule to be Shared: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with occasional evening and weekend hours required to support special events, volunteer shifts, or time-sensitive logistics.


Overview:

The Warehouse & Logistics roles are structured as a collaborative job share, with two part-time team members working together to oversee the organization and efficient operation of the warehouse. Responsibilities are divided across inventory management, layout design, and delivery coordination, while jointly ensuring best practices for stock control, OSHA compliance, and safety audits are maintained. Together, these roles act as a liaison for departmental product needs, support deliveries to Colorado agencies, and assist with volunteer coordination and guest interactions. The ideal candidates are organized, adaptable, and committed to upholding safety standards while working collaboratively to advance the organizationโ€™s mission.


Warehouse & Logistics Job Share:

Primary Focus: Shared responsibility for warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics, and distribution


Key Responsibilities (Shared Across Both Roles):

  • Oversee warehouse organization, layout, cleanliness, and overall efficiency
  • Maintain and optimize inventory systems (Zoho or equivalent)
  • Track all goods from intake through distribution with accuracy
  • Monitor stock levels, rotation, and storage efficiency
  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing deliveries
  • Prepare and stage products for distribution
  • Schedule and execute deliveries to partner agencies and events.
  • Support product needs and logistical execution for community events, tabling, and outreach efforts, including delivery, setup, pulling items from the warehouse, breakdown, and transportation of products to and from the event.
  • There will be times when the Warehouse & Logistics Manager will be expected to participate in community events, supporting setup, coordination, and on-site execution.
  • Serve as a point of contact for delivery coordination and partner communication
  • Ensure accurate product allocation and availability for deliveries and events
  • Conduct and document safety audits and maintain OSHA compliance
  • Monitor and restock warehouse-adjacent office supplies, including food, cleaning items, and general office materials, in coordination with the Office Manager and/or the President to ensure consistent availability.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and organization.


Primary Focus: Shared Responsibilities (Both Roles):

  • Maintain clear, consistent communication with each other and leadership
  • Ensure seamless handoffs between shifts
  • Support volunteer engagement and create a welcoming environment
  • Assist with packing, event prep, and cross-team needs
  • Participate in occasional evening/weekend events as needed
  • Uphold safety, organization, and operational standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized dock and warehouse, including sweeping and ensuring trash and recycling are taken out nightly.


Schedule & Coordination: Qualifications (Both Roles):

  • Combined coverage ensures Mondayโ€“Friday as well as occasional evenings and weekend operational support
  • A brief weekly overlap is recommended to ensure clear handoff, alignment, and communication between team members.
  • Shared documentation and systems required for continuity
  • Both roles expected to stay aligned on priorities, inventory, and scheduling.


Qualifications (Both Roles):

  • Experience in warehouse, logistics, or operations (nonprofit preferred)
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Familiarity with inventory systems and tracking tools
  • This role requires consistent and reliable transportation to travel to partner locations and program sites.
  • Valid driverโ€™s license 
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical warehouse tasks
