Job description

Description:

The DRR Case Manager Assistant provides oversight, accountability, and campus coverage during shift transitions to ensure continuity of operations during staff changeovers. In addition, the DRR Case Manager Assistant supports the case management team's operations by handling a wide-range of program and DRR campus related tasks. These include administrative duties, room inspections, drug testing, distributing medline supplies, and aiding students with tasks delegated by the DRR Manager or designate. The Assistant will cover evening and weekend shifts, overseeing and reporting on student activities or areas of concern to the case management team. They ensure all safety regulations and program protocols are followed by students, visitors and volunteers. This position entails administrative work, communication duties, and active involvement in program implementation.


This role has a schedule of Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 2:30pm - 9:30pm.

Requirements:


  1. Assist in updating student records, lists, and filing documents accurately and timely. Handle faxing of pertinent information as directed by the case management team.
  2. Communicate effectively with the manager and case management team, providing relevant information regarding student issues and interactions on a daily basis.
  3. Support the safety and security of students and the facility by actively participating in maintaining a secure environment and promptly reporting any hazards or safety concerns.
  4. Participate fully in implementing program changes and directives from management to enhance the effectiveness of the program.
  5. Conduct regular facility walk throughs to monitor and address any safety concerns or maintenance issues.

6. Assist the case management team with various daily tasks including dinner announcements, roll call, and managing the clothing room.


7. Provide crisis intervention as needed to address immediate student concerns or emergencies effectively.


8. Assist new students with navigating the program, providing guidance and support as they acclimate to the facility and its procedures.

9. Conduct med-calls, random drug testing, overnight drug testing, and room checks as required to ensure compliance with program regulations.

10. Driving students to appointments, Celebrate Recovery, internal program events and other required locations as needed.

11. Collaborate with Resident Advisors and case managers to ensure that floors and rooms have necessary supplies to support student needs.


Job Skills/Qualifications: A minimum of an Associate's Degree or equivalent education and experience in a related field such as in a social work/counseling environment or within a ministry setting. Knowledge and experience working with men, women and children in crisis. Strong working knowledge of the Bible. Strong verbal and written communication, organizational and administrative skills. Empathetic and compassionate towards students and their families. Christian Association of Drug and Alcohol Counselor (CADAC) or Registered Addictions Specialist (RAS) certification desired.

Education: Associate's degree (AA)

Experience: 1 year of job-related work experience.

Communication Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups.

Math Skills: Minimum Skills: Ability to add and subtract and to multiply and divide.

Reasoning: Intermediate Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.

Job Related Certifications / Licensing / Professional Registry or Memberships Requirements: Driverโ€™s License

Driving Requirements: Required to drive a DOT Company Vehicle.

Other Skills and Abilities: Willingness to obtain a Class C license within the first six (6) months of employment.
