Job description

Electrical Estimator/Account Manager - Service Division (2 Openings)
Fort Lauderdale / Pembroke Park, FL (Hybrid / Remote-Enabled)
Full-Time | Direct Hire
New Client | Priority Search | Immediate Launch
ROLE SNAPSHOT
A rapidly growing commercial electrical contractor is expanding its Service Division under new leadership - and these roles sit right at the core of that growth.
This position blends client ownership, estimating accuracy, and service execution, making it ideal for someone who wants real responsibility, visibility, and impact. If you like owning accounts, pricing work correctly, and seeing projects run cleanly from start to finish... this one matters.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
Client & Account Management
  • Own and grow a portfolio of commercial electrical service accounts
  • Act as the primary client contact - trusted advisor, not order taker
  • Identify repeat business and long-term revenue opportunities
Estimating & Preconstruction
  • Estimate small to mid-sized electrical service projects end-to-end
  • Perform detailed takeoffs (Accubid strongly preferred)
  • Review plans, specs, and RFPs to assess cost, scope, and risk
Proposal Development (Critical)
  • Deliver polished, client-ready proposals with:
    • Clear scope of work
    • Defined inclusions and exclusions
    • Assumptions and risk clarity
  • Protect margins by eliminating ambiguity before work hits the field
Project Coordination & Support
  • Coordinate with field teams, vendors, and suppliers
  • Track materials, schedules, and job progress
  • Review shop drawings and submittals for accuracy and compliance
IDEAL PROFILE
✅ 5+ years in electrical construction, estimating, or service PM roles
✅ Strong understanding of electrical systems, field execution, and cost drivers
✅ Proven experience pricing and managing service-based work
✅ Accubid or similar estimating software experience
✅ Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
✅ Excellent written communication (proposal writing is essential)
✅ Independent, accountable, and highly collaborative
⭐ NICE TO HAVE
➕ Electrical Journeyman or Master License
➕ Prior client or account management experience
➕ Background in commercial electrical service or maintenance divisions
COMPENSATION & PERKS
Base Salary: $100K - $120K (DOE)
Incentives: Performance-based, tied to account growth, pricing accuracy, and execution
Car allowance + fuel card
Medical, dental, life & disability insurance
401(k) with company match
PTO + company holidays
Clear runway for growth and advancement
WHY THIS ROLE STANDS OUT
  • New leadership + active Service Division build-out
  • Direct influence on revenue, margins, and client retention
  • Mix of account management, estimating, and operations - no silos
  • High-autonomy role without heavy bureaucracy
TARGET PROFILE STRATEGY
Strong Fits
  • Electrical service estimators ready for client ownership
  • Account managers within electrical contractors with estimating exposure
  • Service PMs who price work and manage client relationships
Not a Fit
  • Pure design engineers without service or field exposure
  • Large GC PMs with no estimating responsibility
  • Candidates lacking pricing ownership or client-facing experience
