This is a Travel RN Risk & Patient Safety Manager contract at Cody Regional Health in Cody, Wyoming.

  • Active Wyoming RN license
  • BSN required
  • Minimum 5 years healthcare experience
  • Experience in:
    • Risk Management
    • Patient Safety
    • Performance Improvement
    • Regulatory/Compliance
    • Incident investigations
    • Report writing/data analysis
  • EPIC EMR experience
Preferred
  • CPHRM certification

What This Role Actually Does

This is mostly an administrative/quality leadership RN role, not bedside nursing.

Main duties include:

  • Managing incident reports and patient safety events
  • Leading Root Cause Analyses (RCA)
  • Tracking trends and quality metrics
  • Handling patient grievances/complaints
  • Working on regulatory compliance
  • Coordinating performance improvement projects
  • Assisting with malpractice/risk investigations
  • Reporting to leadership and committees

  • 100-mile radius rule: traveler cannot live within 100 miles of the hospital
  • No holiday coverage required
  • No call
  • No 1099 accepted
  • Agency can be fined if traveler delays start after confirmation
