Job description

Electrical Service Estimator

Job Scope:


As an Electrical Service Estimator, you will work collaboratively with our project management,
estimating team, and sales departments. The ideal candidate should be proficient in Accubid and
Excel and possess excellent analytical and customer service skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Estimate projects to ensure profitability and adherence to standards.
  • Collaborate with sales and other internal groups to determine the appropriate bid strategy.
  • File and maintain all quotation-related documents in the appropriate software.
  • Process project submittal requests within 24 hours of receipt.
  • Review post-bid approvals for all assigned projects.
  • Maintain current knowledge of market conditions and innovations to improve productivity.
  • Consult with other departments' clients, vendors, foremen, and personnel to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
  • Estimate changes for addendums on projects.
  • Provide proper project turnovers to management.
  • Utilize Accubid software for estimating tasks.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma is required, and a degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Two years of related experience and training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Experience working in Accubid is preferred.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Proficient in take-off estimator planning.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask while staying organized.
  • Self-motivated with a positive customer service orientation.
