Join Chesapeake Consultants as a Cost Estimator/Analyst, supporting our Cost Estimating and Analysis Office. In this critical role, you will provide data-driven insights to inform decision-making for Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) programs. Your expertise will shape cost estimates, risk assessments, and financial strategies for mission-critical initiatives. Key Responsibilities
Analyze business and financial data using modeling, mathematics, economics, statistical analysis, and engineering methods to support decision-making.
Collect, organize, normalize, analyze, and document cost, technical, and programmatic data.
Develop and apply analytic processes to define problems, create models/tools, test hypotheses, and deliver actionable solutions to decision-makers.
Support financial management through life cycle cost estimates, analysis of alternatives, business case analyses, risk research, and schedule realism assessments.
Contribute to project teams, advising on cost analysis processes and developing cost estimating relationships and factors.
Prepare and present briefings and informational sessions on cost-related activities. Qualifications Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of DoD and/or IC acquisition cost analysis/estimating experience (excluding EVM, cost performance report analysis, or cost proposal preparation). At least three (3) years must involve C4I or business major automated information systems. Leadership: Demonstrated leadership in managing or directing cost estimates and research projects. Cost Estimating: Proven experience in planning, developing, and documenting a defendable Life Cycle Cost Estimate (LCCE) as an Independent Cost Estimate (ICE), Component Cost Analysis (CCA), or Program Office Estimate (POE) within DoD or IC. Must have presented and defended estimates to Program Offices or Program Executive Offices. Documentation: Experience with Cost Analysis Requirements Description (CARD) or Intelligence Capability Baseline Description (ICBD) development and analysis. Education: BS/BA in Engineering, Operations Research, Cost Estimating, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration, including 18 semester hours in quantitative analysis courses. Certification: International Cost Estimating and Analysis Association (ICEAA) certification is highly desired. Why Chesapeake Consultants?
