As an Estimating Engineer at Element Logic, youโ€™ll play a key role in supporting our sales and project teams by leading the estimating efforts for large-scale material handling system integration projects. Youโ€™ll collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to build accurate cost estimates, analyze project data, and help ensure our solutions are both innovative and cost-effective. Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead the budget process by coordinating with internal project teams and external vendors to develop detailed cost estimates for material handling system integration projects.

  • Identify and communicate risks of cost overruns for pricing consideration.

  • Analyze active and completed projects and apply findings to improve the estimating process.

  • Develop preliminary project schedules with input from internal project teams and external vendors.

  • Develop high-level rough order of magnitude pricing for projects by leveraging rules of thumb and historical data.

  • Create RFQs (Requests for Quotes) for equipment and services to solicit bids from vendors.

  • Present project budgets to sales and leadership.

  • Maintain awareness of current market conditions that affect pricing and lead times.

  • Review RFP documentation, quotes, drawings, and other relevant documents to ensure pricing accounts for project requirements.

  • Lead the hand-off of project budgets to the implementation team.

  • Assist sales teams with the creation of sales proposals and presentations as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Engineering or related field.

  • 3โ€“5 yearsโ€™ experience in project cost estimating, project controls, procurement, project management, or engineering.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.

  • Experience with Dynamics F&O or other ERP systems is a plus.

  • Experience with Microsoft Project is a plus.

  • Strong attention to detail, integrity, and analytical skills.

  • Organization and time management skills.

  • Willingness to ask for, accept, and act on feedback.

  • Knowledge of automated material handling technology is a plus.

Location: FL Remote or located anywhere EST or CT time zones.
