Northrop Grumman is currently seeking a Cost Estimating Analyst - Level 4, to join our team. The position is in Redondo Beach CA. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work..
Role and Impact:
  • Identify and evaluate proposal risk issues in cost estimates, terms and conditions, and all other business management related functions.
  • Support the Sector historical cost and technical database initiative.
  • Perform data collection, normalization, and analysis.
  • Develop estimating factors, regression analyses and identify estimating relationships from company data.
  • Support cost studies using company data.
  • Support and assist the Sector Manager of Independent Cost Evaluation (ICE) in executing the company-wide ICE process.
  • Generate and present ICE analyses in support of risk reviews.
  • Assist in maintaining and delivering training.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (to include: Economics, Mathematics, Business, Finance, Operations Analysis, Engineering) with 8+ years of relevant professional experience - OR - Master's degree in a relevant discipline (to include: Economics, Mathematics, Business, Finance, Operations Analysis, Engineering) with 6+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Experience leading projects and/or experience directly or indirectly managing others.
  • Proven ability to evaluate, integrate, and communicate cost issues and risks to senior and executive management.
  • Demonstrated expertise in business management, cost/risk modeling, pricing, estimating, and a working understanding of Government and commercial contracting and subcontracting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to use them in informing, presenting, negotiating and problem solving with a wide range of professionals and leadership.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Requires an active Top-Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance at time of application.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Northrop Grumman Space Systems portfolio past and current.
  • ICEAA certification (e.g., PCEA or CCEA).
  • Relevant experience (including exposure) in the cost/business management/ops research world, with a strong knowledge of quantitative risk techniques, cost and risk modeling, probability, and government contracts.
  • Experience in the aerospace industry.
  • Demonstrated experience to maintain independence while conducting analysis.
  • Well versed in a broad range of cost estimating methodologies with the ability to implement, model and train them effectively.
  • Active SCI security clearance.

Primary Level Salary Range: $117,500.00 - $176,300.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
