Description
Sustainment and Restoration Services (SRS) is an 8(a) firm that provides engineering, science, construction, munitions, and specialized professional services solutions for customers nationwide. SRS has an immediate opening for a Environmental Technician in Pueblo, CO.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate, monitor, and maintain groundwater extraction, treatment, and reinjection systems in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Conduct routine and non-routine system inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure continuous operation.
• Perform groundwater sampling and monitoring using equipment such as bladder pumps, peristaltic pumps, and bailers.
• Collect and manage environmental field data and prepare required documentation for compliance tracking and reporting.
• Operate and maintain off-post treatment systems associated with explosive contaminant plumes.
• Support remedial investigation activities, including well installation, soil sampling, and geophysical site surveying.
• Follow and enforce health and safety protocols, including unexploded ordnance (UXO) avoidance procedures.
Job Requirements:
• Work Location: Pueblo, CO
• Schedule: 40 hours per week, some more time during field events
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Pre-Employment Requirements: Must pass a drug screen and have a clean driving record
• Travel: Local travel required; up to 60% field-based work
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental field operations, water treatment, or remediation system O&M
• Associate or bachelor's degree in environmental science, geology, chemistry, or a related technical discipline preferred
• Experience with environmental field instrumentation, sampling, and basic mechanical maintenance
• Familiarity with GIS software and data loggers is a plus
• OSHA 40hr Hazwoper, and applicable refresher
OSHA 24hr Supervisor Training (Safety)
Compensation Range: $63,500 to 78,500 (depending on experience and qualifications)
