Weโ€™re seeking a future team member for the role of DIRECTOR to join our EQUITY SALES team within Global Markets Trading. This role is located in NEW YORK, NY.

In this role, youโ€™ll make an impact in the following ways: 

  • Responsibility for day-to-day coverage of BNYโ€™s Equities Execution client base.  

  • Executing sales activities including Equities order consulting and handling across Stocks, ETFs, Listed Options, Share Repurchase Programs, Low Touch/Algo Trading, and Total Return Swaps.

  • Manage client relationships and coverage across a specific group of high-value clients and prospects.

  • Client coverage includes segments such as Asset Managers, Hedge Funds, Alternatives, Asset Owners, RIAs and Model Overlay providers.

  • Partnering with Legal, Operations, Compliance, Credit and other internal stakeholders and business lines to provide top tier client service and solutions.

  • Identifies markets and client segments for future growth and ensures staff are deployed accordingly.

  • Analyzing firm and market data to identify revenue growth opportunities.

  • Helps manage and motivate less experienced sales team members.

  • Work with other product areas withing BNY Markets, including Foreign Exchange, Fixed Income, and Liquidity and Financing to drive client business.

  • Cross-sell and Cross-collaborate with BNY Wealth Solutions, Asset Servicing, Global Payments & Trade, Global Clearing, and other BNY business units on client coverage.

To be successful in this role, weโ€™re seeking the following: 

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree required and Advanced/graduate degree preferred. 
  • 10+ years of experience in Equities Sales & Trading preferred. 
  • Demonstrated interest in Equities Markets, Trading, Investing, Market Structure, Technology, and Artificial Intelligence applications.
  • Strong presentation and pitching skills.
  • SIE, Series 7 and 63 required.    Series 57 encouraged.   
  • Experience working with ETFs desired. 
  • Individual with strong leadership qualities and the ability to manage multiple concurrent clients and workstreams.   
  • Data analytics proficiency and experience utilizing AI to improve workflows
  • Experience managing teams preferred.
