Job Responsibilities

  • Own and oversee a portfolio of complex public and private clients, providing executive level advisory on equity plan administration and equity related considerations.

  • Provide senior technical guidance on equity programs and stock based compensation.

  • Oversee delivery of equity services to ensure engagements meet Armanino's A+ Execution standards for quality, accuracy, and client experience.

  • Act as the senior escalation point for complex equity matters, including audits, transactions, system conversions, and regulatory inquiries.

  • Support equity considerations related to transactions, including cash to accrual impacts, opening balance sheets, and purchase accounting, as they relate to equity plans.

  • Lead, mentor, and professionally develop Senior Managers, Managers, and broader equity team members, actively participating in career advisory and performance reviews.

  • Build and scale a high performing equity team within FAAS, fostering a collaborative, growth oriented culture.

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with senior client executives and private equity sponsors, leveraging those relationships to identify new opportunities and expand engagements.

  • Support business development efforts by providing equity subject matter expertise, thought leadership, and client delivery support.

  • Serve as a market facing leader and thought partner on equity administration trends, best practices, and emerging issues.

  • Supervise overall team execution across engagements, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and scalability of equity services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience in equity administration, stock plan operations, consulting, or equity heavy advisory roles, with experience at a senior leadership level.

  • Demonstrated success leading complex, client facing engagements and managing multiple workstreams simultaneously.

  • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, particularly as it relates to equity and stock-based compensation (exposure to IFRS is a plus).

  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, with the ability to communicate complex equity concepts to executive level stakeholders.

  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and relationship building skills.

  • Proven ability to operate effectively in a fluid, fast-growing consulting environment, balancing client needs, team leadership, and business growth.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with comfort navigating ambiguity and scaling a specialized practice area.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA and/or Certified Equity Professional (CEP) certification.

  • Experience working across multiple equity administration platforms (e.g., Equity Edge Online, Shareworks, Fidelity, Certent etc).

  • Prior experience supporting audits, transactions, or IPO readiness efforts involving equity programs.

Certain states require us to disclose the pay range and benefits summary for job openings. For Colorado residents, the compensation range for this position: $168,800 - $230,100. For Washington residents, Illinois residents, New York residents, and Southern California residents, the compensation range for this position: $185,700 - $253,000. For Northern California residents, the compensation range for this position: $194,200 - $264,600. Compensation may vary based on skills, role, and location. Eligible employees at certain levels can participate in a discretionary long-term financial incentive plan, subject to plan participation rules.
