Bomberger's Store - Immediate Rental Associate Needed, Part Time (12-20 hours weekly)

Bomberger's Store, your local hardware store deeply rooted in community values, is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Rental Associate to join our team. As a Rental Associate, you will have the opportunity to assist customers in selecting a wide variety of equipment available for rental, ensuring their needs are met and providing top-notch service.

This position aids customers in the selection of a wide variety of equipment available on a rental basis by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assistscustomers in the department with rental items. Actively listens and asks questions to evaluate customer's needs and finds the product or solutions to meet those needs.
  • Answersphone forthe department andassistscustomers with questions or equipment reservations.
  • Generates computerized rental contractsfor all customers. Processes credit card payment transactions.
  • Delivers and picks up rental equipment to customer's location using a pickup truck and trailer
  • Assistscustomers with the drop-off or pick-up of rental equipment.
  • Loads and secures equipmenton the rental trailerof up to 10,000 lbs. for safe transport to customer site.
  • Demonstrates proper equipment use, including safety and otherimportant features.
  • Inventories returnedequipment;ensures an adequate supply of equipment to meet rental obligations.
  • Ensuresreturned equipment is in rental condition;cleansequipment.
  • Ensures that department vehiclesare equipped with all necessary supplies to complete pick up or delivery of equipment.
  • Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance.

Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a PA DOT Card (medical examiner's certificate)
  • Availability to work a combination of dayshift, evenings and a Saturday rotation.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months to a year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
