Department: Retail amp; Rentals
Pay Rate: $18

Summary of Position
Responsible for the rentals of kayaks to guests in a friendly and efficient manner in the Company's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service.
Responsibilities
  • Welcome guests with a warm and friendly smile while providing kayak rental services
  • Inform guests on kayak safety usage and lake protocols
  • Utilize rental software for reservations, transactions, and safety waivers
  • Ensure that kayaks are clean and in good condition prior to guests getting on
  • Ensure that kayaks are properly stowed and cleaned in the storage area at the end of day
  • Exhibit professional behavior at all times when communicating with guests and fellow employees
  • Assist in the retail store, sports center, and coffee shop when needed
  • Support and understand all safety and environmental requirements
Position Requirements
  • Excellent customer service and people skills
  • Ability to swim
  • Comfortable around water and working outside
  • Experience in renting equipment; rental software, like Fareharbor
  • Must be able to work a variety of day, night, weekend, holiday shifts
  • Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision
  • Must be able to meet and/or exceed customer expectations
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally. Position involves frequent bending, twisting, lifting and squatting. Majority of shift will be spent on feet for up to 8 hours per day in a fast paced environment.
Knowledge and Experience
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience: Six months experience with rentals; kayak and water safety knowledge required
