Title: Epicor Product Owner
Company: Global Power Components – www.globalpowercomponents.com
Location: Milwaukee, WI (onsite 5-days/week)
Hire Type: Direct Hire
Overview:
Global Power Components is seeking an Epicor Product Owner to own and scale our ERP platform. This role is responsible for the direction, prioritization, and outcomes of Epicor as a core system driving manufacturing operations. You will act as the single owner of Epicor: accountable for system performance, adoption, and business impact. Working directly with leaders across engineering, supply chain, and finance, you will drive process improvement, eliminate manual workarounds, and ensure Epicor becomes a fully utilized operating system for the business.
The Position:
This role owns all Epicor-related priorities, decisions, and outcomes. You will lead the transition from a partially utilized system to a fully integrated platform supporting sales, planning, production, accounting, and reporting. This includes ownership of process alignment, data integrity standards, system capabilities, and user adoption.
This role defines what gets done and why partnering with system and operations resources to execute configuration, support, and day-to-day activities. Success requires strong business judgment, clear prioritization, and the ability to drive measurable results.
Responsibilities:
  • Own the Epicor ERP platform end-to-end, including performance, adoption, and scalability
  • Define and execute the Epicor roadmap, prioritizing based on business impact and ROI
  • Partner with business leaders to align system capabilities with operational needs
  • Identify and eliminate process inefficiencies through system-driven solutions
  • Lead deployment and optimization of core capabilities, including MRP, planning, and shop floor execution
  • Establish and enforce data integrity standards across BOMs, routings, inventory, and costing
  • Drive consolidation of workflows into Epicor, reducing reliance on spreadsheets and manual processes
  • Provide direction and validation for system configuration, reporting, and development work
  • Establish governance for system changes, prioritization, and releases
  • Drive user adoption through training alignment, process standardization, and continuous improvement

What You Bring:

  • We are looking for a builder and problem-solver, not a passive system administrator.
  • Strong ownership mindset, you take responsibility for outcomes, not just tasks
  • Proven ability to fix or scale ERP systems in manufacturing environments
  • Ability to simplify complex problems into scalable, system-driven solutions
  • Proactive and self-directed, you identify opportunities and act
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and driving clarity across stakeholders
  • Willing to challenge the status quo and push for better solutions
  • Sound judgment in balancing speed, system integrity, and long-term scalability
  • Able to operate strategically while maintaining strong system fluency

Experience & Qualifications
Required / Preferred:
  • 5+ years of Epicor ERP experience
  • Experience owning or leading ERP systems or platforms
  • Hands-on experience with BOMs, routings, costing, and production workflows
  • Strong understanding of cross-functional manufacturing processes
  • Proven ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Experience managing and prioritizing multiple initiatives

Preferred:
  • Experience implementing or significantly improving MRP and planning processes

Epicor Functional Experience:
  • Deep experience in several of the following areas, with working knowledge across the rest:
  • Manufacturing & Production (job tracking, scheduling, shop floor execution)
  • Inventory & MRP (material planning, demand signals, inventory control)
  • Purchasing & Supply Chain (procurement workflows, supplier coordination)
  • Order Management (order entry, fulfillment, customer delivery)
  • Engineering / BOM Management (part structures, methods, engineering changes)
  • Cost Accounting (job costing, standard vs. actuals, operational impact)
  • Quality (inspection processes, non-conformance tracking, compliance)
  • Reporting & Analytics (BAQs, dashboards, KPI visibility)
  • Understanding how Method Directives, BAQs, Dashboards, and Kinetic Customizations impact business workflows (no development experience required)

Preferred:
  • Exposure to custom development or integrations within Epicor

What Success Looks Like (12–18 Months):
  • Core workflows are consolidated into Epicor, reducing reliance on manual processes
  • MRP and planning capabilities are fully deployed and actively driving operations
  • Data integrity across BOMs, inventory, and costing is reliable and trusted
  • User adoption is strong across departments
  • Epicor is a critical system for running the business, not just a system of record.
