Lead and Scale Mission-Driven Care at EPIC Care Centers INC

At EPIC Care Centers Inc, we are committed to expanding access to high-quality, patient-centered care for underserved and vulnerable populations. As we grow our Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) footprint, we are seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Operations to lead, optimize, and scale our FQHC operations.

This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and sustainable growth while maintaining a strong focus on quality, access, and community impact.

What You’ll Do Operational Leadership & Strategy
  • Lead day-to-day operations across FQHC clinic sites, ensuring efficient workflows and high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with organizational goals and HRSA/FQHC requirements .
  • Support clinic expansion, new site launches, and service line growth .
FQHC Compliance & Regulatory Oversight
  • Ensure full compliance with HRSA Health Center Program requirements , including:
  • Scope of Project
  • Sliding Fee Discount Program (SFDP)
  • UDS reporting and performance measures
  • Maintain readiness for HRSA Operational Site Visits (OSVs) and audits.
  • Oversee policies and procedures to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations .
Financial Performance & Optimization
  • Partner with finance to manage budgets, cost controls, and revenue cycle performance .
  • Monitor key financial drivers including visit volume, payer mix, and reimbursement optimization .
  • Support 340B program oversight in collaboration with pharmacy and compliance teams.
Quality, Access & Patient Experience
  • Drive improvements in clinical quality measures, patient outcomes, and satisfaction .
  • Ensure access standards are met, including timely appointments and reduced barriers to care .
  • Support implementation of value-based care initiatives and population health strategies.
  • Lead and develop clinic leadership (Practice Managers, Site Leads, etc.).
  • Build a high-performing, mission-driven culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with HR on recruitment, retention, and staff development .
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with clinical leadership, compliance, finance, IT, and population health teams.
  • Ensure alignment between operations, patient care delivery, and organizational strategy.
Data, Reporting & Performance Management
  • Track and analyze KPIs including UDS measures, productivity, access, and financial performance .
  • Utilize data to drive operational improvements and strategic decisions.
  • Prepare reports for executive leadership and board-level visibility as needed.
What You Bring Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field ( Master’s preferred ).
  • 5–10+ years of healthcare operations experience , with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Direct experience working in an FQHC or community health center environment .
  • Strong knowledge of HRSA regulations, UDS reporting, and compliance requirements .
  • Strategic thinker with strong execution capabilities
  • Deep understanding of FQHC financial drivers and reimbursement models
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Data-driven mindset with experience using metrics to improve performance
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
