Job description

Title: Senior Epic Certified Training Lead

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Type: Contract

The Epic Training Lead is responsible for the training strategy and deployment for a large system integration program. This role will lead a modern, scalable approach to preparing experienced Epic users for an Epic-to-Epic transition. This Epic certified end-user training consultant will be responsible for including adaptive and AI-enabled learning approaches to the project.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Develop and execute the overall training strategy, governance framework, roadmap, and deployment plan for a large-scale Epic-to-EPIC migration.
  • Define role-based learning requirements and training approaches that address workflow and functionality changes across impacted user groups.
  • Lead the design and delivery of adaptive learning solutions, including instructor-led training, self-directed learning, assessments, simulations, and AI-enabled learning tools.
  • Oversee the development, validation, and maintenance of training materials aligned with approved workflows and operational requirements.
  • Manage all aspects of training deployment, including logistics, scheduling, registration, learning environments, completion tracking, and reporting.
  • Coordinate Principal Trainers, Credentialed Trainers, Super Users, and other training resources to support successful implementation.
  • Partner with operational, clinical, technical, Informatics, and Change Management leaders to support readiness, Day-in-the-Life activities, and go-live preparation.
  • Monitor and communicate training progress, readiness metrics, risks, dependencies, resource needs, and mitigation plans to program leadership.
  • Serve as the primary training representative within program governance and establish clear accountability across central and local training teams.
Required Skills:
  • Experience leading training for large-scale Epic hospital migrations, implementations, or instance consolidations.
  • Experience managing enterprise-wide training programs, training teams, and role-based learning deployments.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills:
  • Epic Principal Trainer certification or equivalent Epic training leadership experience.
  • Experience with adaptive learning methodologies, AI-enabled learning tools, or proficiency-based training models.
