Healthcare Environmental Services Manager

Introduction

ServiceMaster ECS is proud to partner with a rural hospital that serves its local community, and we’re seeking an experienced Environmental Services Manager. This role combines strategic leadership with direct involvement in EVS tasks, hiring and training staff, and maintaining strong communication with both ServiceMaster ECS leadership and the hospital’s administration. Position Summary

As the Environmental Services Manager, you will represent ServiceMaster ECS in overseeing all environmental services operations at the hospital and adjoining Medical Office Buildings (MOBs). You’ll be responsible for managing staff, implementing training and quality assurance programs, performing EVS duties when needed, and ensuring compliance with both our company’s standards and the hospital’s expectations. This role requires professionalism, initiative, and a commitment to excellence in service delivery.

Education & Training Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Minimum of 3 years of management experience (required)
  • College degree (preferred)
  • Surgical Cleaning knowledge (required)
  • Must be CSCT (Certified Surgical Cleaning Technician) certified within the first 6 months of hire

  • In-depth knowledge of environmental services procedures, surgical cleaning procedures, and regulatory compliance.

  • Activities may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion
  • Must possess good balance and coordination
  • Capable of medium-to-heavy work: exerting up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Requires close visual acuity for tasks such as data analysis, transcription, and computer use
  • May require visual acuity for inspecting facilities and ensuring work accuracy
