Job description

New Wave Entertainment is looking for an entry level Audio Editor to work in our Burbank facility. Candidates will be experienced in meeting deadlines and dealing with a high-pressure environment, typical of television marketing. This position works closely with onsite producers and has direct interaction with our clients so client skills are a must.


Responsibilities:

  • Import OMF and AAF files. Edit audio and prep projects for staff mixers
  • Digitize audio and video elements
  • Label and catalog finishing sources
  • Assist mixers as needed with QC, digital delivery and recording stems


Requirements:

  • Knowledge of a professional digital audio workstation such as: Resolve/Fairlight or Pro Tools required and must be willing to learn
  • Knowledge of various audio plug-ins
  • MAC and PC operating systems a must
  • Candidates will have strong verbal and written communication skills and must be able to work closely with producers and operations management
  • This position requires the ability to work a variety of shifts (days, nights or swing shift)
  • Sound engineering school degree preferred or direct relevant work experience
  • Local candidates preferred


Pay Range: $18.50 - $19.00 per hour

Work Location: This is an on-site position. Candidates must be able to work from our Burbank office during scheduled work hours.

Work Hours: 6 PM - 2 AM
