Job description

Job Summary:

The Video Editor plays a key role in bringing Children’s Miracle Network’s stories to life. This position is responsible for editing and delivering engaging video content that supports partner campaigns, fundraising, and organizational storytelling. Using Adobe Premiere and other tools, the Video Editor collaborates with internal stakeholders and teammates to ensure all video outputs reflect the CMN brand and mission. 

Core Duties:

  1. Video Editing and Post-Production – Sort and manage footage, perform audio clean-up, titling, and color grading to deliver polished, professional video. 

  1. Audio Production – direct voice-over talent, mix audio, and edit music to support storytelling objectives. 

  1. Cross-functional Collaboration – Work closely with producers, designers, and stakeholders to understand project scope and produce outcomes that align with the CMN brand. 

  1. Content Output and Distribution – Deliver broadcast-quality content in appropriate formats to the asset library, partners, and other platforms. Ensure all videos meet quality standards and brand guidelines. 

Additional Duties: 

  1. Assist producers with interview setup and field production tasks, direct shoots and interviews, and coordinate with hired crew. 

  1. Create motion graphics to enhance storytelling and visual appeal. 

  1. Organize and archive media files efficiently within the server. 

  1. Repurpose existing content for new stories and use cases. 

  1. Support company events and presentations with edited media. 

  1. Stay current by attending industry events, conventions, and workshops. 

Job Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience 

  • 3-5 years of video editing experience using Adobe Premiere and other video editing tools. 
  • Experience capturing, organizing, and editing video footage. 
  • Ability to execute full post-production workflows and deliver high-quality digital assets. 
  • Experience collaborating on creative content in a fast-paced environment. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Education 

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience 

Experience 

  • Camera operation experience  
  • After Effects experience 
  • Experience working with children (ages 5-14) and their families. 
  • Experience in nonprofit, agency, or mission-driven media. 
  • Familiarity with CMN brand voice and storytelling style.
