Seat Description:
Loudr is searching for a talented and experienced Lead Video Editor to join our team. The Lead Video Editor will be responsible for advanced editing and post-production task management. They must create compelling and engaging video content that aligns with our clients' objectives and creative vision.
Key responsibilities include performing video editing tasks, applying advanced color correction and visual effects, managing media assets, coordinating with team members, conducting quality control checks, and providing mentorship to Junior Video Editors. The ideal candidate possesses strong editing skills, proficiency in video editing software, a keen eye for detail, and excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Responsibilities:
  • Video & Post-Production Editing (brand visuals, voice, & narrative)
    • Perform advanced-level video editing tasks, including cutting, trimming, and sequencing footage to create a coherent narrative.
    • Apply advanced color-correction and/or color grading, audio enhancements, and visual effects to enhance the overall quality of the video.
  • Ensure that the final edit aligns with the creative vision and objectives established by the task owner.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Willing to integrate AI softwares into workflows and creative output.
  • Project-Based Logging, Media Management, Rendering, Exporting & Delivery
    • Project based logging and organization of video footage and other media assets for efficient retrieval and management.
    • Render and export edited videos in various formats suitable for different platforms and distribution channels.
  • Advanced Color Grading and Visual FX
    • Perform advanced color grading and correction to achieve the desired look and mood for the video.
    • Ensure that colors accurately represent brand identity and convey the intended emotional impact.
    • Utilize advanced visual effects (VFX), transitions, motion graphics, and titles to enhance visual appeal and storytelling.
  • Quality Control & Review
    • Conduct quality control checks on edited videos to ensure technical accuracy, visual consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines and project objectives.
    • Review edits with the Media Post-Production Manager to solicit feedback and make necessary revisions.
    • Ensure that all video deliverables meet deadlines and quality standards set by the agency.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and techniques to apply innovative visual effects and motion graphics.
  • Team Collaboration & Mentorship
    • Report to the Media Post-Production Manager.
    • Communicate project status and updates to relevant stakeholders, including the ACD, and Video Post-Production Manager.
    • Provide guidance and mentorship to the Junior Video Editor(s) to support their growth and development.
    • Coordinate with other team members, including producers, designers, and copywriters, to ensure seamless integration of video content into broader campaigns.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in video editing (this is not a Junior Video Editor position).
  • Bachelor's Degree in film or video production or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in storytelling, motion graphics design, animation and video production.
  • Proficient in video editing and motion graphics software such as After Effects and Premiere Pro.
  • Strong knowledge of video production equipment and the pre-production process.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Agency experience or a background in marketing and/or advertising is preferred but not required.
