Job description

Our client, a fast-growing digital media and entertainment company, is seeking a Junior/Mid-Level Social-First Motion Designer/Editor for a remote freelance/contract opportunity. This role will provide coverage for a senior team member's planned leave, with an anticipated start in mid-July running through at least August 11th, and strong potential to extend based on ongoing workload. The successful candidate will join a 20-person creative team and contribute high-quality, social-first motion content on a fast turnaround basis.
  • This is an ongoing freelance assignment. Pay rate range: $60-$70 / hour

Responsibilities:
  • Create and edit social-first motion graphics and video content for a variety of digital platforms
  • Collaborate closely with the creative team to maintain consistent style, tone, and quality across deliverables
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting fast-paced production timelines
  • Step in seamlessly to cover ongoing workload during a team member's absence, with the ability to pick up existing projects and workflows
  • Work within established brand guidelines while bringing fresh ideas to social content
  • Communicate proactively with the team regarding project status, timelines, and any production needs

Required Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro
  • Experience working with AI-powered plug-ins within the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Junior to mid-level experience in motion design and/or video editing, ideally with a social-first content focus
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while staying aligned with team direction
  • Strong time management skills and ability to juggle multiple deliverables under tight deadlines
