About the Position 

The Creative Team within our Creative Agency produces engaging, impactful, thoughtful, exciting, and elevated content to represent a Fortune 30 brand across various channels. The Motion Designer in this group should be a highly enthusiastic creative who loves video and animation, finding joy in creating visual solutions. Color, typography, photography, animation, and compositions - you advocate for the power of design. The Motion Designer will work closely with other creative team members to create highly engaging content for multiple platforms and experiences. The Motion Designer will also work with other teams holistically from end to end in a highly collaborative environment.

Requirements

What you’ll be responsible for: 

·       Create visually compelling video and motion assets.

  • Quickly ideate and execute a high volume of engaging content across multiple platforms and experiences, using primarily in-house resources.
  • Using existing creative assets, b-roll and photography, provide creative solutions and reimagine them for different needs.
  • Editing video and creating animated assets.
  • Attend creative brainstorms, kick-offs, and reviews, contributing meaningful ideas.
  • Bringing a post-production perspective to shoots
  • Storyboarding and designing assets if needed

·       Continue to define the brand motion style guide, pushing creative boundaries while maintaining the brand's visual standards.

  • Understand the brand’s goals, strategy, and tone of voice.
  • Follow the direction of creative leadership on best practices, ideating, and execution.

·       Abilitiy to guide and direct creative of more junior members of the team to elevate the brand and create consistency

·       Create content that makes measurable and impactful connections with target audiences.

  • Leverage performance metrics and insights to influence creative ideation and execution.
  • Stay up to date with relevant brand and design trends to help optimize creative performance.

·       Collaborate with teammates or work solo on rapid-fire requests, tight timelines, and longer-term projects.

·       Contribute to a great work environment that celebrates everyone’s success.

·       Add your skills to the team. Be proactive and share design references and inspiration to raise the quality of the work.

The skills and experience you should have: 

·       Experience creating well-crafted visual assets either in house or at an agency.

·       8+ years of motion design, animation, video editing experience with a strong portfolio showcasing video and motion design work.

  • Excellent knowledge of Adobe CC – particularly, Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Firefly
  • Working knowledge of Figma, photography (mobile and DSLR), photo retouching, and photo editing
  • Nice to have: working knowledge of 3D programs (Blender, Cinema4D)
  • Nice to have: experience building and managing motion branding and a motion design system
  • A self-starter who can develop animation from ideation to execution.
  • Ability to produce content quickly and extremely detail-oriented.
  • A collaborative attitude, can take feedback, and stay calm under pressure.
  • Cultural savviness. Awareness of cultural moments and trends that help improve the work.
