We are looking for a creative, reliable and driven Video Content Producer/Editor to help capture and create high-quality video content throughout the season. This role is built for someone who loves sports, understands fast-paced live events and can turn game footage, and behind-the-scenes moments into engaging content for YouTube, social media and the Havoc fanbase.
The ideal candidate is comfortable filming with professional mirrorless cameras, working in a live sports environment and producing everything from quick-turn highlights to cinematic storytelling pieces.
Term: This seasonal position begins on October 1 and typically runs through mid to late April, depending on the team's playoff schedule.
Responsibilities

  • Attend and film every Huntsville Havoc home game using professional mirrorless cameras and video equipment.
  • Capture key game moments, fan energy, player reactions, warmups, entrances, celebrations and behind-the-scenes content.
  • Clip important in-game moments from tv broadcasts such as goals, fights, big hits, saves and other notable plays for social media, YouTube and internal use.
  • Create standard YouTube game recaps using broadcast footage when needed.

  • Produce cinematic social media videos from game footage, player content and behind-the-scenes moments.
  • Assist with content shoots for YouTube, social media, player features and other team storytelling projects.
  • Help film and set up sit-down interviews with players to create player-specific documentaries, feature content or social media pieces.
  • Organize, offload and deliver footage to SSDs or shared drives for editing, archiving or remote workflow.
  • Work with the marketing/content team to identify important moments, storylines and content opportunities throughout the season.
  • Maintain a consistent visual style that reflects the Havoc brand and the energy of the game-day experience.

Qualifications
  • Experience filming sports, live events, interviews or fast-paced video content.
  • Strong working knowledge of professional mirrorless cameras, lenses, audio equipment and basic lighting setups.
  • Ability to shoot clean, stable, cinematic footage in a live sports environment.
  • Understanding of social media content trends, YouTube storytelling and short-form video pacing.
  • Basic editing experience preferred, especially with Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or any similar editing software.
  • Strong attention to detail when organizing, labeling and transferring footage.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and all Huntsville Havoc home games.
  • Must be dependable, self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment.
  • Hockey knowledge is a plus but not required.

Ideal Candidate
This role is a great fit for someone who wants to build a strong sports video portfolio and be involved in every level of content creation, from filming live action to helping tell player stories. We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
Job Questions:
