Apartment Groundskeeper / Entry Level Maintenance Tech


Location: Apartment Community - Downtown Denver, CO Area (Rino District)
COMPENSATION: DOE $20-$21/hour to start - Weekly Pay

Schedule: Full Time, Monday - Friday - 8am-5pm each day


JOB SUMMARY:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in custodial, groundskeeping and or landscaping, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to creating a safe and enjoyable environment for our residents.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform routine groundskeeping tasks, watering plants, and maintaining flower beds.
  • Ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of sidewalks, parking areas, and common areas, including picking up trash, sweeping, and removing debris.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify maintenance issues, safety hazards, and landscaping needs.
  • Assist with the installation and upkeep of irrigation systems and outdoor lighting fixtures.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to address repair needs and maintain a well-functioning property.
  • Maintain inventory of landscaping supplies and equipment and communicate restocking needs to management.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a secure and hazard-free environment for residents and staff.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or training in landscaping or horticulture is a plus.
  • Proven experience in groundskeeping or landscaping, with knowledge of plant care, lawn maintenance, and general outdoor maintenance.
  • Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of landscaping equipment, such as mowers, trimmers, and irrigation systems.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently, managing time and priorities effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and an eye for maintaining a visually appealing landscape.
  • Good physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
