Stop Loss Coordinator (Entry-Level)

Our client, a growing organization within the insurance and financial services space, is seeking a detail-oriented Stop Loss Coordinator to support their underwriting team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or build a career in insurance operations and underwriting support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a high-volume quote inbox by prioritizing requests and ensuring timely turnaround
  • Accurately enter and maintain data in Excel-based quote spreadsheets
  • Prepare and submit completed quote files to the underwriting intake team for further review
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries related to quote requests and provide status updates
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with quote submissions in a timely and professional manner
  • Set up and maintain electronic and hard copy files for underwriting review
  • Review files for completeness and follow up to obtain any missing information
  • Coordinate additional requirements, including nurse reviews when applicable
  • Assist the underwriting team with new business onboarding and sold case processing
  • Support the preparation of monthly reports and tracking metrics

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree preferred
  • Previous experience in administrative support, office support, or data entry required
  • Experience in insurance, financial services, or accounting environments preferred
  • Proficiency in Excel and strong data entry skills
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities

Additional Preferred Skills:

  • Exposure to insurance administration, bookkeeping, accounts receivable, or collections
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners
Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Oakbrook Terrace, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
