Job description

Summary:
The Associate Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and executing daily logistics and inventory management activities across multiple operational locations. This role ensures efficient product movement by scheduling truck transportation with carriers while maintaining optimal inventory levels to support business operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitor inventory positions, forecasting requirements, and initiating timely truck orders to maintain plant asset operations.
Serves as a central point of coordination between operations, oil buyers, and transportation providers to ensure trucks are scheduled, arrive on time, and effectively service facility locations.
Forecast production at facility locations and adjust truck schedules as needed to keep up with normal fluctuations as well as unexpected changes in volumes.
Support accounts payable processes related to truck transportation activities, including verifying invoices, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring accurate and timely payment to carriers.
Update Energy Transfer truck IT systems as needed to support ongoing operations and business requirements.
Provide support to other Energy Transfer departments by responding to requests related to trucking logistics, including data gathering, and issue resolution.
Must be available to work a rotating schedule that includes weekend coverage (Saturday and Sunday) every four weeks, as well as occasional holidays; when scheduled for weekend and holiday coverage, corresponding days off will be provided.
Must be available 24/7 via phone, text, and email during peak season December through March and any other period when transportation scheduling is required.
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:
0 - 2 years of experience in transportation or logistics preferred; will consider entry level candidates with a bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or a related field.
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, including data entry, simple spreadsheets, and document formatting.
Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills (verbal and written), with the ability to independently prioritize tasks and manage competing demands.
