We're looking for an Accounts Receivable Associate!


What you'll be doing:

The Accounts Receivable (A/R) Associate supports the Finance team in managing billing, collections, and cash application processes across underwriting and other revenue streams. The role ensures timely and accurate invoicing, receipt processing, and account reconciliation while maintaining strong internal coordination with revenue-generating departments. This position can be hybrid - a blend of remote and in-office work. In summary, this individual will:

  • Process underwriting and advertising contracts and A/R transactions
  • Prepare invoices and records receipts for ancillary revenue streams as needed
  • Process client payments, including credit card, check and EFT
  • Record and apply all incoming payments to appropriate accounts
  • Prepare journal entries related to cash receipts
  • Reconcile accounts receivable sub-ledger to the general ledger and assist with monthly close processes related to A/R
  • Generate and distribute monthly aging reports to revenue-generating departments
  • Provide follow-up support and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with internal teams
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation
  • Handle cash counting, reconciliation and recording as needed

What you'll need:

  • Minimum of Associate degree in accounting, business, finance, or related field; or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated experience in accounts receivable, billing, or related finance functions
  • Familiarity with nonprofit accounting practices preferred
  • Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy in data entry and financial processing
  • Able to prioritize, meet deadlines and manage tasks simultaneously
  • Understanding of confidentiality and financial data privacy practices
  • Demonstrated proficiency with computer programs including Microsoft Office (Excel), accounting software platforms (e.g. Blackbaud), and project management platforms (e.g. Asana)
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.

Salary and Benefits:

This is a part-time, non-exempt hourly position and hours of work are based on operational need. Starting pay will be based on education, experience and interview.
