Job description

The Schedule:

We are looking for individuals who can work either Wednesday (2PM-9:00 PM), Thursday/Friday 2:00 PM-2:00 AM and/or Wednesday through Sunday 5:00 PM-2:00 AM

Training schedule will be on-site and will train from 2:00 PM-11:00 PM

Remote position: We are looking for candidates who live in the Casper, Wyoming area only as there will be requirements to work out of the office on days where there are power outages, internet issues, etc. Candidate must have a HIPAA Compliant, quiet workspace at home. 

The Role:

The Crisis Intervention Specialist provide evidence-informed information and referrals, brief supportive counseling, crisis intervention and suicide prevention, and follow-up services to individuals who contact the program in emotion distress and/or seeing information on available services. This position provides an opportunity to gain a wide range of clinical skills, and knowledge of the expanding field of behavioral health. Depending on call volume and operational needs, there may be opportunities during slower periods to study or work on homework, making it a great fit for students balancing work, academics, and career development. This role is especially beneficial for students pursuing degrees in psychology, social work, counseling, nursing, human services, or related fields.

What you will do:

  • Receive and answer incoming calls from clients in the community seeking crisis assistance
  • Utilize crisis assessment and intervention skills
  • Make outbound calls, emails, text or chat to effectively coordinate care and resolve crisis situations through identification of community resources
  • Effectively screen incoming requests using the risk assessment tools provided
  • Seek clinical consultation for triage services and health education, when necessary
  • May perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in behavioral health
  • Associate degree in behavioral health or related field and a minimum of 4 years’ experience in behavioral health or;
  • Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health or related field and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in behavioral health or;
  • Master’s degree in behavioral health or related field and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in behavioral health
  • Completion of a pre-employment drug screen
  • Completion of a background check
  • Satisfactory Driving Record
