  • Maintain timely and thorough documentation of all client interactions, including session notes and treatment updates, in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a therapist in our community health clinic, you will work with a diverse array of clients facing various mental health challenges. You will provide care for individuals of all ages, including children, adolescents, and adults. Our clinic serves clients who are navigating issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties, while utilizing culturally competent approaches to meet their unique needs.

Qualifications
  • Must have a fully licensed mental health designation (LMHC, LMFT, LCSW-R, or LCSW) to practice in New York State.
  • A minimum of a Bachelorโ€™s degree in a mental health-related field is required; advanced degrees are preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in mental health counseling or related fields, along with familiarity with community mental health resources.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective interactions with clients and team members.
  • Proven ability to build rapport with clients, fostering trust and a supportive therapeutic relationship.
  • Strong leadership qualities with a commitment to professional ethics and continuous improvement.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience providing therapy in a community health or clinical setting is preferred.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems for documentation and billing processes would be advantageous.
